At The Mill, physical therapy is personal. We treat more than just symptoms—we uncover the "why" behind your pain and build a plan that supports healing for the long haul. With a holistic patient-centered approach, our sessions led by a doctor of physical therapy blend hands-on techniques with customized exercise plans so you can get back to doing what you love, symptom-free.
We look beyond symptoms to find and treat the root cause. Our approach blends hands-on techniques with guided home programs so you can get back to feeling your best and help you build confidence in your body again.
No crowded clinics. No assembly-line treatment. Every session is in a private treatment room, one-on-one with your therapist, and tailored to your unique needs.
Forget cookie-cutter 3x/week plans. We aren't going to waste your time with a warm up on an exercise bike that doesn't even relate to your symptoms. Your session is fully customized to get you the best results, in less time, with more intention. Expect to notice a difference quickly!
We’ll explain the “why” behind your symptoms and equip you with the tools to keep them from coming back—custom exercises, lifestyle tips, and zero gatekeeping of information. We give the power back to you.
Dr. Hannah is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who believes people deserve to feel empowered by their healthcare, therefore she has dedicated her career to helping her clients live their happiest and healthiest lives optimized through movement and physical therapy.
After graduating from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Movement Science, Hannah pursued her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Baylor University where she sought out advanced education and clinical mentorship in the field of Pelvic Floor Therapy and Obstetrics. She also became trained in the alternative treatment of orthopedic injuries using a combination of manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and dry needling. Following graduate school, she moved back to Michigan with the goal to expand access to quality care in her home state. In addition to working as a staff therapist out of a traditional insurance-based physical therapy clinic, she worked in a local gym as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor.
While she loved what she did, she quickly recognized that the system she was practicing prioritized more "sickcare" than actual healthcare and she was eager to bridge the gap between the rehabilitation and fitness settings. This led her to open her own solo practice in February 2024 out of the Haven Wellness Collective. She quickly realized how needed a larger space was that could blend fitness with healthcare without limitations in the community so she recruited a team of highly qualified instructors each who shared her passion to open the Mill and the rest is history.
Dr. Hannah believes there’s not one singular approach to wellness so instead she focuses on facilitating the healing process by providing highly individualized care to all of her clients matching her treatment style to their unique needs. She uses a variety of techniques to not only treat impairments, but uncover their root cause in order to optimize patient health and long-term success.
While Dr. Hannah has advanced training in pelvic health, as a holistic practitioner she incorporates assessment and treatment of the entire musculoskeletal system as well as the nervous system into every session. She is qualified to treat orthopedic injuries from head to toe in both men and women, but has a special passion for women's health. Patient education is at the forefront of Dr. Hannah’s mission, and she aims to help all of her patients understand their bodies, ultimately empowering them to take back control of their health.
What types of conditions do you treat?
Curious about something? We're here to help! Here are the top questions we often receive from our community.
I’m unsure if pursuing physical therapy at the Mill is right for me, how can I get more information?
Set up a free discovery call with our studio owner and lead therapist Dr. Hannah here! During your initial phone consultation, she will discuss your goals for treatment & any symptoms you may be having. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions prior to booking a session.
Not directly! We have opted to be out-of-network or non-participating with all insurance companies meaning we cannot bill your insurance directly for physical therapy services. We can provide a superbill upon request which you can submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. If you receive Medicare or Medicaid benefits, we are unable to see you a physical therapy client due to federal rules.
We believe deeply in quality over quantity. That’s why our therapists work one-on-one with each patient, every visit. You’ll never be passed off to an aide or assistant—your care is always guided by a licensed physical therapist who truly knows your story and your goals.
Our approach to care is intentionally non-traditional. We don’t follow cookie-cutter plans or rushed protocols, and we don’t believe healing fits into a predetermined number of visits. Instead, we take the time to understand the root cause of what’s going on and build a plan that actually makes sense for you.
If physical therapy hasn’t worked for you in the past, we encourage you to try a different experience. From the moment you walk through our doors, you’ll enter a private, warm, and welcoming space designed to support healing—paired with a therapist who is committed to helping you feel better, move with confidence, and get back to the life you love.
I started seeing her between my 2nd and 3rd trimesters of pregnancy. After being told that my pelvic pain was a “normal part of pregnancy,” Hannah helped me with not only dealing with the pain but also fixing it. She made me feel so comfortable and immediately validated my feelings. She gave me so much knowledge on how to prepare for birth, I went into labor with so much confidence in myself and my body. I will definitely be going to her for postpartum care, which I’m actually so excited for. Who knew PT could be something you look forward to?
I have been to many doctors throughout my life for a variety of healthcare issues, and I have never worked with someone as dedicated to improving my quality of life as Hannah. I wasn't an easy case - my pain was significant, progress was slow-going, and I had many setbacks, but Hannah never gave up on me and I never lost confidence in her ability to help me. Her determination to help her patients is backed up by her incredible knowledge about pelvic floor health, her holistic approach, and her focus on getting her patients to a self-sufficient point. On top of her credentials and capabilities, she fosters a comfortable, productive, and empowering environment. I would recommend her services to any woman seeking pelvic floor PT!

She was so thorough, kind, personable, and knowledgeable. She helped to alleviate my pain/discomfort and feel ready to return to working out. Pelvic floor therapy is a vulnerable experience and she made me feel so comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending her to family or friends!

I’ve had other poor experiences with PT, but my experience with Hannah was amazing. She is very understanding, knowledgable, patient, and offers a very comforting space. Every session I felt my voice was heard and felt progress with the care I received. Walking out of PT sessions I would feel immediate relief as well as have hope for improving my condition. I 1000% recommend to anyone that is thinking about going in for PT. So grateful for Hannah as my life quality has improved so much!
I’ve been putting off reviewing this place because I can’t quite put it into words how grateful I am. Hannah got to the root of my problem rather than just treating my symptoms to ensure that I don’t re-injure myself or cause other issues for myself. And she did so without scheduling any unnecessary sessions. Her communication is awesome and she is always available to help, even though I no longer have PT sessions.
The exercise classes have been AMAZING. I have seen SO much progress so quickly and have never been more confident with weights. The instructors are very knowledgeable and attentive to each individual in the class thanks to the smaller class sizes. There have been multiple game changing tweaks to my form which I would never have known to make without their help. There are exercise classes for all experience levels and the scheduling has allowed me to fit in at least two classes weekly with my busy work life. The Mill has been life changing for me and many others.
I truly can’t put into words how grateful I am to have met her, especially when I did. For the past 2 years I have been battling chronic health issues, and I underwent surgery a little over a year ago. I can confidently say that Dr. Hannah is the main reason I have seen improvement in my healing journey and she has given me hope that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Additionally… SHE CARES. It’s so hard to find doctors who genuinely care about you and your wellbeing, but I’ll tell you right now she’s one of them. Not only that, but she’s strong, hardworking & determined, and from a physical therapy standpoint it is her goal to get you feeling as best you possibly can by the end of every appointment. She also has this special way of making you feel heard, getting you to believe in yourself and empowering you to do things you never thought you could. I have seen many doctors, I’ve been to many appointments & I’ve been given a lot of medications to try… with that said Dr. Hannah has been the ONLY doctor to make my pain more manageable or to take it away completely… let that sink in & then take a chance on The Mill, I promise you won’t regret it!
