CONTACT US

The name The Mill is intentional—an oxymoron that challenges the way so many fitness studios operate. In an industry that often prioritizes more reps, more people, more sweat, and more exhaustion, we choose something different: quality over quantity.

You won't find overcrowded classes, intimidating weight rooms, workouts designed just to leave you exhausted, or a community where comparison creates competition.

At The Mill, every class has a purpose. Our small-group classes are intentionally programmed and led by experts who know how to challenge you while still meeting you exactly where you are. Because fitness shouldn't just make you tired—it should help you build a stronger, healthier body that supports the life you want to live.

And you'll do it alongside a community that genuinely wants to see you succeed.

We're not the
 run-of-the-mill gym

No egos. No judgment. No need to be at a certain fitness level or look a certain way to belong here. We’re a welcoming, down-to-earth community where everyone is genuinely supported—whether you’re 16 or 76, brand new or experienced. If you feel drawn to our space and our vibe, there’s a place for you here.

inclusive

03

Every class has a purpose. Our programming is designed to build strength, mobility, confidence, and long-term health. We don’t chase fitness trends—we focus on what’s been proven to best support your body over time, not just what’s popular in the moment.

intentional

02

Our classes are led by true movement professionals—experts who have dedicated their careers to health and fitness, not just individuals who enjoy working out or hold a basic online certification. We are intentional about who we bring onto our team, and every trainer is selected for their deep knowledge, real-world experience, and passion for helping others move well. You will immediately notice the difference in the way we coach, cue, and care for every person in the room.

You'll work hard, but you won't do it alone. Our small-group environment creates space for real coaching, connection, encouragement, and a community that celebrates each other's wins—both inside and outside the studio. At The Mill, your gym besties quickly become your real-life friends. We host regular social events and are constantly creating opportunities to connect beyond class, from pottery workshops and paint-and-pour nights to outdoor stroller walks, coffee meetups, and collaborations with local small businesses.

Prenatal yoga with Nikki is the best yoga class I’ve ever taken. She is so knowledgeable and every movement purposeful. She is so genuinely passionate about empowering and preparing women for birth. Hannah’s unique Pelvicore class is such a great mental and physical workout and has helped me focus on core pelvic strength. Bumps, babes, and barbells is such a fun strength building class tailored for pregnant and new mommas. Hannah is great about meeting you where you are at with modifications, and encouraging you along the way while still challenging you. I always leave The Mill feeling renewed, stronger, and more confident and the community being built here is so important and needed downriver.

"The Mill has been so vital to my mind, body, and soul during my pregnancy."

Margaret K.

"The Mill is everything and more I could hope for as a new mom and someone who loves exercise. "

Coming back to fitness after having a baby seemed very daunting. I felt better about attending Bumps, Babies and Barbells, where I could bring my baby along. During this class, Hannah was sure to personalize and modify the workout for every one in the class. I felt safe and supported and by the end, incredibly confident in my ability to return to exercise. This gave me the confidence to attend a bunch of different classes at The Mill, all of which have been incredible. The small class sizes allow for ample support from the instructors. Not only is the fitness aspect of The Mill top tier, but Hannah has done incredible things to create a community at The Mill. Being surrounded by other women who were pregnant & newly postpartum brought me so much joy and encouragement in the difficult days of being a brand new first time mom. It brings tears to my eyes thinking of how fortunate we are to have this in our community!

"Dr. Ashlyn Kelly, DPT was my physical therapist for pelvic floor symptoms."

Prior to my first appointment with Ashlyn I had a lot of pain in the pelvic floor region, and urgency to pee often. After only one month of pelvic floor physical therapy with Ashlyn, pain in the pelvic floor region has decreased significantly. The urgency to pee too often has also decreased, now I go to the bathroom only when I really need to. Ashlyn listens to her clients, she provides very good education for clients, she welcomes all questions, she creates a safe space for clients receiving physical therapy. Ashlyn Kelly is an excellent physical therapist, I highly recommend her!

Cara L.

"The Mill Michigan is the fitness studio I didn’t know I needed."

The studio offers a variety of classes, designed for everyone, at every stage of their fitness journey. The studio is warm and welcoming; the community is encouraging and supportive. The trainers promote a healthy mindset where fitness isn’t just about a number on the scale, but that movement is medicine. Dr. Hannah Mills genuinely cares about every person that walks through the door. It’s truly a space where everyone is welcome, friendships are made, and fitness is fun!

Anna

I’ve learned so much about how to stabilize my joints and my body, as well as learning different techniques to help engage/relax the right muscles in my pelvic floor, something I would have never been able to do before seeing Dr. Ashlyn! The space is clean, relaxing, and private, with very intentional sessions every time, seeing improvement weekly! If you are on the fence about seeking help in PT, The Mill is the place to go!

"I’ve been doing pelvic floor PT as well as PT for hEDS, and Dr. Ashlyn has been phenomenal!"

I’ve been putting off reviewing this place because I can’t quite put it into words how grateful I am. Hannah got to the root of my problem rather than just treating my symptoms to ensure that I don’t re-injure myself or cause other issues for myself. And she did so without scheduling any unnecessary sessions. Her communication is awesome and she is always available to help, even though I no longer have PT sessions.

Caroline K.

I have struggled with many different issues and was feeling such a low quality of life as I navigated menopause and my middle years. I have always been very active and wanted to do more than my body was allowing. Hannah has taught me more about my body and Pelvic Floor than I have known in 30 years. She made me feel so comfortable from my initial intake and listened to all my concerns. The quality of care is the BEST I’ve ever received! I have 3 children, all in their 20’s, all played college sports, and I had them VERY close in age, which resulted in a lot for my body. I have made incredible progress in 3 short months with PT with Hannah and the PelviCore class at The Mill. I am feeling stronger every day and with every session and most importantly, I have hope again! I will forever be grateful for her and The Mill and could not recommend her more!!

"Dr. Hannah Mills and The Mill have forever changed my life!"
