Whether you're preparing for birth, healing postpartum, navigating menopause, or simply know something doesn't feel quite right, our pelvic floor therapists are here to help you find answers, restore confidence, and get back to living the life you love.
Many women are told symptoms like leakage, pelvic pain, painful intimacy, pelvic heaviness, or painful periods are simply part of being a woman. While these symptoms may be common, they are not something you have to accept. Pelvic floor physical therapy can help identify the root cause of your symptoms and create a personalized plan to get you feeling like yourself again.
Pelvic floor therapy is much more than Kegels. It's a specialized form of physical therapy that evaluates how your pelvic floor works together with the rest of your body—including your muscles, core, breathing, posture, and movement. By looking at the whole picture, we can identify the root cause of your symptoms and create a personalized treatment plan to help you feel your best.
We connect the dots to address the root cause, helping you fully resolve your symptoms and return to the life you love.
We rebuild your foundation through individualized programming, progressing intentionally as your body is ready.
We first start by creating a customized plan which focuses on initially calming symptoms and regain confidence in the body
Your first appointment is all about getting to know you—your story, your symptoms, your goals, and how they're impacting your daily life. We'll take the time to listen, answer your questions, and develop a thorough understanding of your concerns before beginning any evaluation.
Next, we'll complete a comprehensive movement assessment to evaluate how your body is functioning as a whole. Depending on your symptoms and goals, your therapist may recommend an internal pelvic floor assessment. This is considered the gold standard for evaluating many pelvic floor conditions, but it is never required and is only performed with your informed consent and comfort as the top priority.
Before you leave, you'll receive individualized treatment and education to begin addressing your symptoms right away. We'll review our findings together, discuss your personalized plan of care, and provide you with practical strategies and exercises so you can start making progress from day one.
Our goal is simple: to help you leave your first visit feeling heard, informed, and confident about the path forward.
We transition into proactive care, giving you the tools to stay well while supporting your long-term health through every season of life.
I have been to many doctors throughout my life for a variety of healthcare issues, and I have never worked with someone as dedicated to improving my quality of life as Hannah. I wasn't an easy case - my pain was significant, progress was slow-going, and I had many setbacks, but Hannah never gave up on me and I never lost confidence in her ability to help me. Her determination to help her patients is backed up by her incredible knowledge about pelvic floor health, her holistic approach, and her focus on getting her patients to a self-sufficient point. On top of her credentials and capabilities, she fosters a comfortable, productive, and empowering environment. I would recommend her services to any woman seeking pelvic floor PT!
She specializes in supporting women at every stage of their journey, offering a comprehensive approach that combines physical therapy with personalized fitness classes, both individual and group sessions. The intimate setting is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, creating a safe and welcoming environment that feels exclusive yet approachable. It’s clear that Hannah has poured her heart and soul into this space, and it reflects in every detail. This is truly a one-of-a-kind experience, and I am grateful to have access to such a remarkable place right here at home.

She was so thorough, kind, personable, and knowledgeable. She helped to alleviate my pain/discomfort and feel ready to return to working out. Pelvic floor therapy is a vulnerable experience and she made me feel so comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending her to family or friends!

I’ve had other poor experiences with PT, but my experience with Hannah was amazing. She is very understanding, knowledgable, patient, and offers a very comforting space. Every session I felt my voice was heard and felt progress with the care I received. Walking out of PT sessions I would feel immediate relief as well as have hope for improving my condition. I 1000% recommend to anyone that is thinking about going in for PT. So grateful for Hannah as my life quality has improved so much!
This place is truly one-of-a-kind, dedicated to real healing rather than just quick fixes. Dr. Hannah has uncovered issues that no other doctor or physical therapist even thought to consider. In healthcare, I often have to advocate for myself, but with Dr. Hannah, I feel truly heard and cared for. Her brilliance and ability to explain what's happening with my body are simply amazing. She has taught me so much about the sources of my pain, various treatment options, and how to manage and heal chronic pain.
Thanks to the PT work and PelviCORE classes, I now know how to properly engage my deep core muscles. Dr. Hannah ensures that I understand how to perform exercises correctly, which has helped me regain strength and heal. I can't thank her enough for helping me retrain my muscles and reigniting my motivation and love for working out.
I truly can’t put into words how grateful I am to have met her, especially when I did. For the past 2 years I have been battling chronic health issues, and I underwent surgery a little over a year ago. I can confidently say that Dr. Hannah is the main reason I have seen improvement in my healing journey and she has given me hope that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Additionally… SHE CARES. It’s so hard to find doctors who genuinely care about you and your wellbeing, but I’ll tell you right now she’s one of them. Not only that, but she’s strong, hardworking & determined, and from a physical therapy standpoint it is her goal to get you feeling as best you possibly can by the end of every appointment. She also has this special way of making you feel heard, getting you to believe in yourself and empowering you to do things you never thought you could. I have seen many doctors, I’ve been to many appointments & I’ve been given a lot of medications to try… with that said Dr. Hannah has been the ONLY doctor to make my pain more manageable or to take it away completely… let that sink in & then take a chance on The Mill, I promise you won’t regret it!
I’m pregnant - should I come to pelvic PT before delivery or just wait until after?
Curious about something? We're here to help! Here are the top questions we often receive from our community.
It's incredibly common, but common doesn't mean you just have to accept it as your new normal. If you're leaking when you cough, sneeze, laugh, run, jump, or exercise, please know you're not alone—and there are things we can do to help. We'll figure out what's contributing to your leakage and build a custom plan around your body and your goals. Patients notice very quick relief in symptoms with our holistic approach to managing leakage.
Absolutely not! Pelvic floor therapy is for individuals across the lifespan—not just during pregnancy and postpartum. Whether you're dealing with painful periods in your twenties, bladder symptoms without ever having children, pelvic pain, or changes during menopause, we're here to help. You don't need to fit into a certain age or stage of life to deserve support.
Only if it feels right for you. You are always in control of your care, and we will never move forward with anything you’re not comfortable with. An internal assessment can sometimes help us better understand how your pelvic floor muscles are working, but it is never required. And it’s very different from a gynecologic exam—there are no speculums or stirrups involved and is a painless assessment tool which we consider the gold standard in pelvic health. If we do decide together that it would be helpful, we’ll walk you through everything first, go at your pace, and check in with you the entire time to ensure you’re feeling in control. While we are experts in the pelvic floor, we believe there is no greater expert than yourself in your own body and we always require informed patient consent. Your safety and comfort always take prioritiy.
Not even close! And believe it or not, Kegels aren't right for everyone. Sometimes a pelvic floor is already working too hard, and adding more squeezing can actually make symptoms worse. That's why we evaluate your body first. Pelvic floor therapy can involve breathing, mobility, strength, coordination, hands-on treatment, exercise, education, and much more. No generic Kegel prescription here.
Please do! We know childcare isn't always easy to find—especially when you have a newborn. Babies are always welcome at your appointment. We have space for them to stay comfortably near you, and we're very used to working around feeds, snuggles, diaper changes, and everything else that comes with having a little one. No stress.
Yes! We say it all the time: once postpartum, always postpartum. Whether you gave birth six weeks ago, six years ago, or decades ago, it's never too late to address symptoms that have been bothering you. Your opportunity to recover didn't disappear when you left the newborn stage. We’ve helped women 60+ years postpartum find lasting relief in their symptoms and we’re here to help support you too.
Yes, C-section moms can absolutely benefit from pelvic floor therapy—and patients are often surprised by just how helpful it is. We always recommend seeing a pelvic floor therapist postpartum, regardless of delivery type. Earlier support is ideal, but it is never too late to start. Even though your baby was delivered via C-section, your pelvic floor still went through nine months of pregnancy, and your body is also healing from abdominal surgery that involves multiple layers of tissue. Because of this, it’s very common to experience symptoms that don’t always feel obviously “related” to a C-section. This can include scar sensitivity, tightness, numbness, pulling, or even a “shelf-like” appearance around the incision, often influenced by changes in core strength and tissue mobility. Many women are also surprised to experience pelvic floor symptoms such as painful intimacy, difficulty using a tampon, or discomfort during a pelvic exam after birth. In addition, low back pain, SI joint pain, abdominal discomfort, and pelvic pain are all common—and frequently connected to how the body has adapted after surgery and pregnancy. In pelvic floor therapy, we look at the whole system together. We help improve how your C-section scar moves and feels, restore core activation and coordination, and address the surrounding areas that may be contributing to pain or restriction. Most importantly, we help you return to the activities you love in a way that supports your healing body—without rushing the process or expecting you to “just bounce back.”
Absolutely. Pelvic floor therapy isn't just for the childbearing years.
Hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause can affect your bladder, pelvic floor, and vaginal tissues and may contribute to things like urgency, frequency, leakage, prolapse symptoms, pelvic pain, or painful intimacy. These changes may be common, but you don't have to quietly put up with them.
Yes, and this is something we're passionate about supporting. While physical therapy doesn't treat endometriosis itself, it can help address many of the musculoskeletal and pelvic floor changes that can accompany it. We'll look at the whole picture—not just where you hurt—and may use hands-on treatment, mobility work, individualized exercise, education, and other strategies to help you better manage symptoms and feel more confident in your body.
Whatever makes you feel comfortable! Most patients come in leggings, joggers, shorts, or other comfortable clothing they can easily move in. Coming straight from work? No problem. We have a changing area at both locations.
Nope! You can reach out and schedule with us directly. Michigan allows you to begin physical therapy without a referral. If a referral or prescription becomes necessary as your care continues, we'll let you know and help you navigate that process. You don't need to figure it out before contacting us.
