Sam is a movement and wellness professional with nearly a decade of experience across yoga, personal training, mobility, barre, massage therapy, sound healing, and restorative wellness. An RYT-200 yoga instructor and Licensed Massage Therapist, she brings a unique understanding of both movement and recovery to everything she teaches.
Throughout her career, Sam has worked with people across the lifespan and in just about every setting imaginable—from the Detroit Athletic Club and boutique yoga studios to corporate wellness, private sessions, retreats, workshops, and community events. She is also the founder of Nava Wellness Company, where she continues to bring together movement, massage, recovery, and holistic health.
As a mom, wife, and full-time entrepreneur, Sam understands that wellness has to work within real life. Her approach is highly adaptable and rooted in meeting people exactly where they are. Whether someone is brand new to movement, navigating pregnancy or postpartum, working toward a fitness goal, or simply trying to feel better in their body, she believes there is always a way to make movement feel approachable and sustainable.
Education is at the heart of Sam's work. Rather than asking clients to simply follow instructions, she wants them to understand their bodies, learn to listen to what they're telling them, and build the confidence to take an active role in their own health.
One of The Mill's original instructors, Sam has been part of our community since the very first day we opened our doors. Today, she brings her extensive background and signature mind-body approach to group fitness and wellness at The Mill, helping clients move with intention, feel more connected to their bodies, and build habits that actually fit their lives.
